How many totes do I need for a 1 bedroom apartment move?
Most 1 bedroom apartments fit in 20 totes, which is our $109 package. If you own more than average, add totes as needed.
How many totes do I need for a 2 to 3 bedroom home?
Most 2 to 3 bedroom homes need 40 totes, which is our $189 package. Larger households sometimes add a few extra totes.
How many totes do I need for a 4+ bedroom home?
Plan on 60 or more totes. Rentals of 60 totes and up are quoted individually based on quantity, rental length, and delivery address.
What packages do you offer?
Two standard sizes plus custom: 1 Bedroom Apartment (20 totes, $109) and 2-3 Bedroom Home (40 totes, $189). For 4+ bedroom homes and businesses needing 60 or more totes, we send a custom quote. Every rental includes a Tote Taxi, delivery, pickup, and cleaning.
How long is the rental?
Every standard package includes a two-week rental that starts on your confirmed delivery date.
Can I extend my rental after 2 weeks?
Yes, subject to availability. Request the extension before your scheduled pickup date. Additional weeks run $30 for the 20 tote package and $50 for the 40 tote package.
How much weight can each tote hold?
Each tote holds up to 75 pounds. Please avoid overloading them so they stay safe to stack and carry.
How much can a 27-gallon tote hold compared to a cardboard box?
One 27-gallon tote holds roughly the same as one standard medium moving box, or up to two small boxes.
Are the totes cleaned between rentals?
Yes. Every tote is emptied, cleaned, inspected, and prepared before it goes out again.
Do I need packing tape for tote rentals?
No. The removable snap-on lids close securely without tape, so there is nothing to buy or throw away.
What is a Tote Taxi and is it included?
A Tote Taxi is a rolling platform that fits through standard doorways so you can roll a stack of packed totes instead of carrying them. One is included with every rental, never an upsell.
How does tote rental compare to buying cardboard boxes?
A store-bought moving kit runs about $100 for boxes you assemble, tape, haul, and then discard. Our 20 tote package is $109 for reusable, water-resistant totes plus a Tote Taxi, delivered, picked up, and cleaned for you.
Do you deliver moving totes in Kannapolis, NC?
Yes. Kannapolis is inside our standard Cabarrus County delivery area, so delivery and pickup are included in the package price.
Do you deliver outside Cabarrus County?
Yes. We regularly deliver to China Grove and Landis, where extended delivery is available for an additional fee. Submit your address for approval and pricing.
What areas of Cabarrus County do you serve?

If a tote arrives damaged, contact us before using it and we will replace it at no charge. Customers are responsible for loss, theft, or damage beyond normal wear while the equipment is with them.
Do you provide packing or moving services?
No. We rent, deliver, and pick up totes. Customers handle packing, loading, transporting, unloading, and unpacking.
Is sales tax included in your pricing?
No. Applicable sales tax is added to your final invoice.
Is payment required with the form?
Standard 20 and 40 tote packages are paid at checkout to lock in your dates. Custom 60+ tote rentals are quoted individually and do not require payment with the form.
Cabarrus Tote Rentals provides tote rental, delivery, and pickup only. Customers are responsible for packing, loading, transporting, unloading, and unpacking their belongings.
Applicable sales tax is calculated and added at checkout.
